Cry of Fear App SCAM
« on: 29 November, 2012, 06:02:36 AM »
Apparantly someone have made a fake Cry of Fear app and are trying to scam people through iTunes.

DO NOT BUY IT!!! It's just fake and a scam. We have reported this to Apple, and we would appriciate if you also did.

Here's the link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cry-of-fear/id568153967?mt=8

Honestly, that's pretty funny  :joebiden:

As if that would be possible on an iOS device. Worst scam ever  :yow:

Good luck getting it down. Hopefully no one actually buys it.

" Rated 9+ for the following :     Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes
    Infrequent/Mild Realistic Violence
    Infrequent/Mild Mature/Suggestive Themes
Infrequent/Mild Cartoon or Fantasy Violence "

"Rated 9+"

Also, a little fun fact, that for the app icon, he used that Gmod pic :http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=cry+of+fear+book+simon&offset=24#/d4zg6nf

As of writing, Apple still have not taken this app down, nor have they even acknowledged my email. Fucking shit company.

Of course they are, they made the iMac.

I'm almost certain that if you tried to run CoF on a mobile device you would cause a level 7 nuclear incident.

Just got an email saying the app was taken down (by the "developer" themselves) on the 6th of December. Great service by Apple. Doing nothing, then emailing that someone else had done something over a month later.

Well. At least they didn't sue us...

...yet  :joebiden:

Apple does anything for money, but making a fake app of the game... that's really low  :slower:
