Thank you community!
« on: 06 August, 2011, 07:50:18 AM »

So a while back, we promised to post an unedited 5 minute video of  gameplay from the mod if we reached 1000 "likes" on Facebook. The  response from the community was truly astonishing. Last night, at  approximately 00:00 GMT, our 1000th member "liked" us. In return, we  made the video we promised. But made it even longer.

We were so  pleased with the effort you guys put into getting the word out, that we  decided to make the video even longer - approximately 7 minutes. Before I  post the video, I'll make some clarifications:
  • There are bugs in the video, such as the black bars going over the subtitles. This has been fixed.
  • The reason Simon has 3 slots is because he doesn't have his bag. Normally, you can carry 6 items.
  • The video has spoilers, so don't watch it if you don't want that section of the game spoiled.

So without further ado, here's the video:

Really good pathfinding AI.

Yea, the only thing that really bothered me.

Also they could use an animation so that they LIFT the axe WHEN they see you, and then starts attacking... And the sounds levels could use some adjustment volume wise.

Otherwise looking great! Really liked Simons facial expressions.. And the fact that the monsters wear that creepy hat you had made!

Thumbs up!

I skipped to like 2:00 where Simon hands the Doctor the weapon and then he shoots him (what a dick). Then I watched until Simon went into the green bathroom and the crying started. This was my face when I heard the door shut and the crying start.

Fuck this shit. There's no way I am spoiling any more than that fucking awesome clip. Was that shit ever unnerving to even watch. Keep up the fanfuckingtastic work, guys. Simon's voice sounds awesome but the best part is that you're all lying to us. There's no way that's Half-Life 1. Give up the charade 8)

A question that this video brought up along with several screen shots is can you control what you put in each hand. It is really nit picky but I'm right handed so I would put the gun in the right hand and lights in the left etc. TL:DR Can we choose for right/left hand. Thanks. Also looks incredible, I cannot wait for the release and I never though goldsource could look so good.
Get out of here stalker!

Really good pathfinding AI.  :joebiden:

Realistically proportioned doorways cause problems for the AI in HL1, I'd forgotten how frustrating it is to create realistic looking environments which the AI are happy with navigating around  :-\

Aside from that it does look very pro!

Yeah there was a gameplay video shown once, in one of the video casts I think that shows being able to select what goes in what hand.

Silly baby, you are to young to play this.

Way to show what a proper sequel or new instalment should look like.

When i saw his face, i was like "WTF".

Yeah, if he's that young, he shouldn't play that.

This mod is just so damn beautiful.

Question - Right around 3:50, did I see Simon use a melee attack with the pistol he had equipped?
