Hi, I've been looking for solutions everywhere, the threads I have seen regarding this problem are apparently years old... Google didn't give me much help on this, except stating to delete my (.tga files) and letting steam do the integrity check of the game cache. I've done multiple re-installs.

System Specs
CPU: AMD(fx) 8150 @ 4.7ghz
RAM: 24Gigs
GPU: GeForce GTX 670 (2gigs)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit (SP 1)

Any more information will be given when asked.
If anyone has a solution to this, or if anyone can link me to the solution, that'd be great. Thanks!

Edit: After looking at the solutions thread, I noticed this.

"Cry of Fear launcher crashes when I click "launch" - "
Solution: Make sure you aren't running it from a subst'd drive, make sure you're using Steam, make sure it's running from the CryOfFear folder
Status: We cannot fix this since this is caused by your bad settings

I have steam running on an SSD, rather than my primary drive. Does this have an affect on the game, or the problem itself?

That error was found in the mod version, not the Standalone - that should change when the mod/devs get around doing that.

Your SSD should not be a factor of causing this.... but I'm going to throw some basic troubleshoots at ya:

Run the game in 16-bit Color Mode (Launch Cry of Fear > Launch App has option to change resolution, 2D Menu, Windowed mode, etc.... , go ahead and check 16-bit > Run Cry of Fear).

Run Cry of Fear as Administrator (Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/common/Cry of Fear/ > Right-click "CoFLaunchApp" > Click "Run As Administrator).
