black screen in middle of game

when i launch or even in memories i have a black rectangle that fades so the picture i'm supposed to see is hidden but on the edges pressing escape gets rid of it but then i cant move or take pictures i have screenshots someone help me this is an amazing game i want to play it how its supposed to be played
