Title: How to host a Cry of Fear server (standalone)
Post by: Clay on 07 May, 2013, 02:30:09 PM
A different guide on Steam forums: http://steamcommunity.com/app/223710/discussions/0/828937420112841213/

Everyone (for good measure): Open port 27015.  Use this website if you don't know how to do that.
http://portforward.com

The one hosting:
Google "what is my ip".
Send it to everyone joining.
Open Cry of Fear.
Click Host Game.
Select the map you want to play (cof_campaign_01 for standard campaign coop or any of the suicide maps.)
Hit Start and let people join.

Everyone joining the host:
Open console (~) and type this command:
connect ip
-replacing ip with the IP with the IP of the person hosting.

Don't add me on Steam.

I think the problem behind CoF not receiving servers on the server list is because it lacks a master server?

I am trying to capture CC info from my ATI 128 pro. I have a few guide on the right filters to set, however i always get an error.

Once i have everything set, i try to launch the tv viewer but it just gives me an error. If i close graphedit, the viewer will start. Then if i open graphedit while the viewer is running, GE will give me an error.

Is there something i am missing?
