FTL: Faster Than Light
I just LOVE how it's never a fixed event when you jump to a new beacon. When you have to make a choice it may not have as great results as last time you made a decision. You might get a new crew member, a free weapon, or bs solar flares/asteroids.
Combat is balanced with nothing being OP or UP. You also have to strategize with each weapon, like deciding what system is top priority to destroy or disable. But then combat gets monotonous after a while because ships are all basically reskins of each other: some smaller ship with shields with weapons. There's the occasional drone that shoots down rockets or just wrecks you with a laser if you don't have shields up yourself. Sometimes they surrender and offer you stuff but I'm always feeling ripped off when I do accept the offer. At least it's there for when I think I won't make it.
After 10 runs though, the music gets old fast if you haven't made it very far. And I ALWAYS ALWAYS think of Black Mesa when the ships explode. But the music is one of my favorites and it varies with which sector you're in.
I've thought I've seen all the aliens when it comes to Mantis', Engis, Zoltan, and Rockmen. But nope, then there's Slugs (and apparently Crystals idfk :/).
I love FTL.
