House of The Dead PC Problem (Windows 7)

Basicly, I have a graphical and audio problem with House of The Dead on PC (No CD)

Whenever I launch the game, it looks like this (or at least, my representation of it):


It's pretty much bright colours with random colours everywhere and broken colours.

How do I fix it? I have tried Compatibility mode with Win95, WinXP, and Win98 and it still won't work.

Now, onto the audio issue.

The music is in the files, I have music on max volume in settings, but it won't god damn play at all. This is a common problem in the No CD version of HoTD 1.

I actually had this same problem when i tried to play the first HotD on my PC, and i never found a solution for it, so unless you find an emulator version of it, your just gonna have to let it pass.

I actually decided to use a Model 2 (Sega Arcade Machine) Emulator and it works perfectly. Too bad I can't play PC Mode and Boss Mode and that though

For those of you wondering, PC Mode allows you to select a different character which all have different stats.

Though, what about the audio problem where the music won't play? When I get a fix for that I'll try both fixes.

lol new problem for house of the dead 2

The audio just doesn't play at all. The game is completely silent, even though the audio files are in the sound folder.

Help pls? :3

That might be why House of The Dead 2 has no audio as well.

Oh well, time 2 add it to my christmas list and find a cheap one for both games on eBay.

This is a 3 yr old thread. But I just made an account to tell everyone in this thread and everyone who might find this thread from Google or anywhere else on the internet. That it is, and has been for a while, 100% POSSIBLE to get the original HOTD 1 music WORKING on THoTD 1 game. You may do this in 2 ways. Buy the original HOTD game, or get a CD-R and follow the instructions found in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFno8n-xiOQ

Pay no mind to the comments of that video as I JUST tried the method in the video and it does work. I regret I paid $10 for the original HOTD PC game. Lastly, an advantage of using the CD-R with the music on it is no music skipping or lag. The music on my HOTD PC game disk skips and cuts, whereas your CD-R with the music on it won't. I hope this helps the people in the thread and anyone else who reads this.

Actually, getting the audio for the download version of HOTD 2 is very easy. Just go to your HOTD 2 directory (It is located at Computer\Hard Drive\Program Files(x86)\House Of Dead II). Click on the mp3 icon, and the extraction will start automatically. Once the extraction is complete, all of the audio should be intact.
