Any ideas then as to why it's crashing all the time?

Graphics Card, perhaps? Internet? Maybe the update did something, but no one else reported that error.

jheimstra, the Steam update made it a lot unstable, but if you port forward it seems to work a lot better. Most of the error plagued regular Steam Half-Life, but were fixed in patches. Team Pskskallar is working on it.

Make sure only one of you is opening the door.
I was playing with some guys and they just kept spamming "E" on the doors then it crashed. So i told them to just let me do it then it was all good!

Hmm okay, I'll try that.  It's also crashing in single player on that first door after the padlocked door.  I have a brand new laptop with pretty sweet specs so it should have nothing to do with my hardware.

Is your PC 64 bit? If so, check the downloads in the moddb page.
