help!!!

Cry of fear is free on steam now, so I decided to pick it up and try it out, but it wont work on windows 10. it goes to the very first loading screen (before the main menu) and crashes with the error message "half life launcher is not responding". does anyone have any ideas?

try to go to the task manager whitle cry of fear is opened.
go to cof.exe on procceses and right click on it.
go to priority and set it to "high"

idk if this works but me helpt it i hope this will help you
