Oh god yes, i've been DYING to play AoM:DC with someone else, or heck, ANY HL based MP mod with anybody.

I was really jealous when a lot of you guys went playing that rigged up AoM:DC Coop mod without me.

I would've loved to join, even with painful ping, unfortunately, i can't do it because i technically don't have HL since the fact that i don't have credit cards and the other fact that i live where there's quite the major lack of original retail sellers compared to people who sell torrented games in CD (Seriously, i can not find a SINGLE actual retail seller around my area as of yet.), i haven't been able to play with anyone.

The only time i ever played MP with some one is when i played CoF's ManHunt campaign with IAmBulletProof.

Hopefully, Team Psykskallar can actually get Dark Assistance finished unlike their last attempt, good luck to you all guys and gals!

Hey guys, quick tech question. In my home, my computer is on the first floor and my router is on the bottom floor. Each floor has an ethernet port in the wall for easier access to the internet. The ethernet ports in the wall are wired to the modem that's connected to the houses' mains. However, I would like to set up a second router specifically for my room so that I can use a wired connection for all of my games consoles as well as my computer. Is it possible for me to do this by connecting the second router to the wall port?

PS, Zik check your steam inventory pls.  :yow:

Would probably be easier to get a switch. Plug the ethernet from your wall into the switch (there is usually a designated port to receive internet) and then plug your PC/Game systems into the remaining ports.

Heres a shitty diagram I made in MS Paint:

And here's a picture of the switch I have in my room.

Oh goodness gracious me, now i feel a bit bad about this, oh thank you so much!

Finally i'll be able to use this for GoldSource based MP mod gaming if my ping is kind.

Anyway, during this holidays i've been quite busy...

Been busy modding that old mod with the name "Operation Black Thunder".
Modded the bolt following crossbow and the smoke grenade too for consistency.

Been also modding another old mod with the name "Chemical Existence".

In "Tour of Duty" Re-mod, the Colt, Tokarev, KaBar, and the Grenade is replaced with another animations.

Remodding "Escape from the Darkness".

NPCs and other stuff in WIP.

But i'm resting for a while, been playing Vietcong just now, pretty interesting game...

I thought switches split the connection between each connected peripheral? If so, wouldn't that mean that if I was downloading a 50 GB game on my PC and was playing online on Smash Bros, it would affect both the online play and the download?

It won't make that much of a difference if you get a 10/100/1000 switch. As long as you have the bandwidth, it shouldn't be a problem*.

Your ISP only gives you so much bytes per second anyway, so I don't really see the use of getting another router, as both solutions will end up splitting the connection, it "branches" out at different points of your network.

*I'm not networking guru, this is all from my own experiences, so this is just to the best of my knowledge. I can try to ask someone else later who is more knowledgeable on networking.
