Skins? Do you have your own re-skins of Cry of Fear?

Remove them if you have your own skins in there and place the original ones back,

Actually, it may not be the models, but remove them and put the original models back in.

The error is being caused because of 2 things:
  • Windows Firewall
  • Conflicting Ports (27005)

For the Windows Firewall, you can delete Cry of Fear and Steam from the Exceptions (Start > Control Panel > System Security > Windows Firewall > Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall > Delete "Cry of Fear" , and "Steam") and make Windows Firewall re-learn those exceptions again. OR you can see if turning off Windows Firewall temporary will work.

For the Conflicting Ports (27005), you will need to add, "+clientport 27025" to your, "Launch Properties" for Steam. (Right Click "Steam" shortcut > Add to the "Target" box.)

I did the port thing but i always keep my firewall off, since me and my brother play games that we havent bought, i do hope this works  :stig: if not im just gonna check my files and such as i have made copies of modles, gfx and sounds
