Asylum Code Bug
« on: 17 September, 2014, 05:55:18 PM »
Here's problem.

This is my first play through, and besides the subway crashing bug everything was going well, and then i got to the School, I put the stone together and called the number like I was supposed to. I decided to save my progress before heading upstairs. When i went upstairs and ended up face to face with the  lady on the stairs I ended up losing way too much health due to a low clip. So I decided to load my save file back to before I went up the stairs so I could try again, with a full clip. When i did that, the game randomly crashed out  Its done this before, so I thought nothing of it and just rebooted the game.   Sounds fine right? But here's the issue:

Upon loading up my save file again the code to the door isn't stored in Simon's notebook, and since I remembered itanyway when I got to the door I tried it by memory, but it doesn't work. When I go back to try to use the telescope again no matter how many times I press the "use" key I get no response. Can't reuse the phone either, so basically I'm stuck here from the bug and can't progress. I'd really hate to have to redo all that hard work I put into the playthrough over this but I don't know how to fix this.

Do you have any previous save slots you've used that might be close to the mental hospital?

That sounds very unfortunate with a very, very bad luck. I can't think of any solution to your problem, and I've never heard this problem before. It must be very rare.

All I can think of is reloading an earlier save, or trying to remember the code.

Yeah, I just went ahead and restarted the mod. It's excellent work so I'm not tripping too much about having to start over. Thanks for the reply though.
