Is there a way to increase the max player limit on coop?

I remember few servers had like 6-8 players in one server but it was on the http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php?game=cryoffear   Website. Now it is gone so. Is it still possible to change the max player limits? So i can also change if i want to play with my friends or strangers.
