There's no soundtrack or gunshot in the game

I have this problem since I downloaded it on steam, I tried running it in compatibility mode, with administrator, I tried starting the game with the Coflaunchapp.exe from the installation folder and still nothing. I need help! I even tried the cof.exe and that won't even start the game. The game is not the same without the soundtrack. :-[

Try clearing your cache via steam, if that doesnt work, redownload the game.

Gamebooster may be the issue, if you have it running, turn the damn thing off.
Also, running in compatibility mode broke things for me, so try playing it with it compatibility mode on and off.
