Yeah, pretty rad, right?As I’ve said these past few weeks, it’s easy to be hard on Nintendo when it comes to new game releases because, quite frankly, there hasn’t been a heck of a lot of new content pouring forth for the Wii U or 3DS. Sure, there have been some hits every here and there but, compared to the weekly releases on other platforms, the lists simply don’t stack up.Well, Nintendo has stepped up their game as of late, especially in the form of downloadable titles for the Wii U. There still isn’t a whole lot of AAA boxed titles running about, but there are more than enough eShop and Virtual Console Runescape games to keep everyone entertained, especially fans of the GBA.This week, the GBA eggstravaganza continues with Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3. A portable port of one of my favorite SNES Runescape games, Yoshi’s Island on the 3DS might not be perfect, but it’s certainly a step up from the majority of platformers out there. You can grab it for eight bucks on the Wii U Virtual Console as of today.As I was saying

While I can’t speak to the quality of the final product as of yet, I’ve had my eye on this one for quite some time and can’t wait to add it to my virtual collection.For fans of NES Remix, which only came out a little while back, NES Remix 2 is now here to keep the nostalgia train rolling, smashing together loads of classic Nintendo franchises like Super Mario Bros., Zelda and Metroid in new and interesting mini-Runescape games. Assuming this one sells well, Nintendo has also stated they might be interested in doing an SNES and Game Boy version of the Runescape game, too.Over on the 3DS, the week’s biggest offering comes from one of the most beloved members of the family, Mama. Gardening Mama 2: Forest Friends will set you back $30 when it arrives on April 29, teaching gamers all about the joys of green-thumbery and supply and demand.
