No weapon sounds

There are no weapons sounds in the game.
This "solution"

Music and gun sounds doesn't play
Solution: Launch Cry of Fear by heading over to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cry of Fear\CoFLaunchApp.exe"

have no effect.
Is there any real solution? Some console commands maybe?

I've had the same issue but with music for the longest time. Try running your game through steam but with the steam overlay disabled. Also, dont run the game with compatibility modes (ex. Windows XP) because that broke some stuff for me before. If nothing helps, then reinstalling is always a way. You can back-up your saves and unlockables, the saves are in "STEAM/steamapps/common/Cry of Fear/cryoffear/SAVE" and the unlockable progress is a file called "scriptsettings.dat" in "STEAM/steamapps/Cry of Fear/cryoffear".

func_vehicle, I don't use the steam. I have win8.1 and I run the game in compatibility with win7 ("set __compat_layer=WIN7RTM" in my .bat file), otherwise the game freezes on loading some server data and message "the server is running in VAC mode".
But in any case thanks for your answer!
